Connor’s gran Allison mailed me a while ago say that she was looking to have a photograph done of her grandchild but wanted it to look like an old black and white of his mom, Tracy, taken when she was a baby. We tried getting him to look at the camera the same way that his mom had and I hope we got what Allison was looking for.

Connor was so good, and although a bit serious, he was quite happy to have us snap away as much as we wanted – a real little star, and gorgeous too!!

Well not exactly newborn anymore, but this was meant to be beautiful baby Matthew’s newborn session, except that Palesa and I could only get together when he was 2 months old.

I met Palesa and her hubby a while back when I did her maternity shoot and she is one of those people that you just want to sit down and have a cup of coffee with and talk about your day, she has an amazing smile that matches her personality and luckily her beautiful daughter inherited all these things from her.

Was great seeing you again Palesa and family xxx

I recently met with Phatu and her beautiful family for a combined family / Maternity session. 3 year old Thendo had such fun during the session and is so comfortable in front of the camera, I think mom has a little model in the making.

This sweet little princess was such a star, she was 3 weeks old at her shoot but because she was prem she actually had her newborn session on her due date.

I can’t believe how crazy this last month has been with first birthdays! All these babies that I photographed when they were still in mum’s tum are now returning for their birthday pics. Judes and Pia are very good friends and their babies are very close in age so we did their first birthday shoot together.

Guys, it’s been amazing watching your newborns turn into these beautiful little people ♥

Thando’s mom contacted me to organise something special for her princess’s first birthday. When I suggested the cake smash she was very eager, but oh how we giggled when Thando took a taste of the cake and promptly decided that this was too disgusting for words and refused to get stuck in at all!!

Khozi, it was lovely meeting you and your family and sharing in your baby’s special day, and I hope that David is feeling loads better by now?

Oh how quickly they grow! Baby Kaylem was at the studio just recently for his newborn shoot, so when his mom contacted me to organise for his 6 monthday, I was sure she was joking. This year has flown by so quickly.

Gabe’s parents and I go way back – I did Lisa’s maternity shoot as well as Gabe’s newborn shoot and a couple since that as well. I could not believe that a whole year had flown when Lisa contacted me to tell me that it was time for his smash the cake.

The little man loved his birthday cake and tucked in with gusto. Happy Birthday Gabe!!

We had to rush with this shoot, mom Liane ventured out on her first outing with Katie, to her first photoshoot, and forgot the bottle at home – I can definitely say that I did that more than once.

But Katie obliged us by giving us what we wanted, even if we got very nervous to get the whole thing done in time.

Kim and Grant | Johannesburg Maternity Photographer

I met Kim earlier this year when she did a Boudoir shoot as a surprise for her man Grant. We got on so well and Kim was one of those clients who quickly became a friend and kept in close contact with me while I was in hospital and I am honoured to be able to capture images of her pregnancy. She is such a special person and I was so pleased to meet her amazing partner Grant, their love for each other so evident in the way they look at each other and interact.

Guys we had loads of fun, thanks for trekking through the bush and over the ruins for me! I’m so pleased that we have found this awesome venue and I am definitely going to be going back there.
