So I am a creature of habit, I don’t like new things. I like to shoot where I shoot, because I know the light, I know the terrain and I know what to expect. So on this particular day Andrisha and myself decided to try Rietvlei Nature Reserve. When we arrived we scouted the area and couldn’t really find any particular spot that we liked. So we literally drove around and got out the car every time we saw pretty light. At first the sun was extremely high and we bided our time waiting for the sunset which was spectacular in true Africa style. But when we got the sunset we basically had 15 minutes and it got cold and dark quickly! I think that our patience and our bit of adventure paid off! Andrisha and Markam you were a true delight to meet and work with and I truly hope you love your images as much as I do. I can’t wait to meet your new arrival!
PS – I had to show you a few of the animal pics we took, seeing as they formed such an exciting part of your special day. The Rhino’s are de-horned which makes me feel sad, but so pleased that they are being protected. At least we know they won’t be hunted and you can read all about it in the IOL article here.
